Setup for evaulating the Citrix XenAPP6 (CitrixXA6EVA.exe) with XenServer 5.6 SP2

Setup for evaulating the Citrix XenAPP6 (CitrixXA6EVA.exe) with XenServer 5.6 SP2

I'll tell you what this has been the most painful setup I've ever done. I want to punch those Citrix document writers in the face for the limited documenation on this.

Fair enough some knowledge on NFS and Linux would help on this. But what if you don't like me.

All I want to do is test my app in Citrix XenApp 6 and troubleshoot an issue I've got and see how it performs.

I have limited hardware available for this test, so the moment I'm using one desktop with XP. 4 GB ram (actually 3.23 in use).

So I thought I'd better make a record of this before I forget. Here is where I'm at, and my steps to get here. (not including all issues allong the way, but some and fixes)

Desktop with Windows XP SP3, Intel Cord 2 Quad CPU Q6700 @ 2.66Ghz + 4GB (3.23GB) or RAM.
Two harddisks C: 300GB and D: 1TB
VirtualBox version 4.0.10 r72479 installed

1. Installed XenServer 5.6 SP2 (5.6.100-47101p) in VM with Windows 2008 64bit profile with 50 GB HD.
2. Installed haneWIN NFS Server on physical machine created NFS D:\NFS -public
3.  Attempted to add NFS in XenServer but didn't work, later figured out via many google searches, I need to enter "IP:/d/NFS" for the Share Name when creating New Storage Repository.
4. NFS added now, but:it says:

Size  total, 0 bytes

This Storage Repository is unplugged and not usable by this host.

try this:

XenServer console or SSH session to the XenServer host:
showmount -e
